What is the Climate Summit 2014?

Climate Summit 2014 is a meeting hosted by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon that will gather Heads of State and Government. They will join leaders from business and civil society to announce new commitments and practical actions to address climate change. It is a one day event to be held on 23 September 2014 at the UN Headquarters in New York, USA.

There will be no official negotiations or a declaration or an agreement to sign as an outcome. However, any government who wish to announce new commitments at the national level will be given the floor in the morning plenaries.
